i think you guys are nuts...88-89 jordan(which i think is just as good as 89-90) has only lebron as competetion for the best guard imo

it's not - it's pretty damn close but it's not as good as 89-90

89-90 has a slightly higher usage, slightly higher efg - takes and makes more treys which the sim loves (which means the effective sim efg will likely be even higher), turns the ball over less - your's gets to the line slightly better but the sim undervalues that and your's has 4 points more as% which means the difference between 22 and 18 which means that you are going to have to dig for dimes from some other position or wait until the 6th round to dig up a true PG from the dregs (which you can probably get away with too)

dont get me wrong, it's by no means a bad pick - what I find interesting is that it's a pick that defines your draft and makes it necessary for you to make certain decisions as you proceed

Yes, you said it exactly.  In the next round my mission is to find the best match for Jordan available, rather than the best player available.  I would have happily used Magic's 89-90 season, but couldn't really justify passing up MJ (I almost never use him, and he consistently kicks my team around in every theme league).

that's what's cool about this theme - I already have to think about planning for a round several at remove from now - much more strateegery

well, he opened the smail i sent him on the 19th, but has not yet opened todays, email, coach... same as you. haha

we are on the clock now... the only ones not to open their smails are: sawtech7 and jakotay... and sawtech is on the clock now, but does not have to select until 2pm. we will wait.

well, i was thinking about that, sweg... but the draft is underway, and at 3:01, coach can make his pick. he's already been on the clock for hours. however, after logain's pick #12, we will wait for tech to make a pick between 9 pm and 8 am. he has his bowis teams going, so i know he has to check in sometime. it's not like him to be away this long. so, the worse he can do is be skipped temporarily.

also, brad, i have to go to bed. garyman and i live in china, and we have to teach in the am. can you take over and keep an eye on things. i will take over while you guys are asleep, and get everything updated. i have gary's proxy, but so do you and sixer.
