Just wondering what is a good tov% for a pg and then the rest of the team. i was just looking and rondo had 19% and everyone else had some were between 10 and 13.7. are those good numbers our will they hurt me?
also my to big scorers erving and mchale both have 11.4 are those good for the 2 people that will have the ball the most?
It's all relative.

I consider elite tov% (for a typical player) to be below 10%.  I figure average to be 10-12.5% & below average to be 12.5-15%.

For point guards (and guys that just handle the ball a lot while getting tons of assists like Bird, Lebron, etc), they typically will have a higher tov% since they have the ball in their hands a lot more and assists aren't figured into tov%.  I came up with tov%# to fix that.  It simply includes assists in the equation to determine tov%.  This makes guys like Stockton & Nash more comparable to other players who aren't point guards (as well as guys like Lebron & Bird).  If you really want to get a good idea of some decent ranges, play around with the player season finder on bbr.

Just finished it off with Erick Dampier and David Lee. I feel good about it. With Ewing's 88 defense and 98% at PF and Mason's 80 defense at PF that position can be covered defensively. Offensive rebounding was what  I was looking for here. I would have preferred Gazuric over Lee but I knew that ash was going to take one of my guys. This team will foul a lot more than my last one but I really like the 3 guards. Getting Harden at either 119 or 120 was a steal in my mind. If Ewing fouls out in less than 20 games though it will be a miracle LOL!

I had to swallow hard to take Murphy because of his lousy D, but with the selection of Moncrief (who scores a lot in the paint during the season I intend to use) I boxed myself into needing a big man who can help keep the floor spread.

With Chauncey, Murphy and J.R. (who will win a couple games for me and lose a couple) I'm good with 3s, and Dwight, Billups and Squid will get to the line plenty.  Overall eFG% is much better than my last couple squads in this league.  TOs are are on track to be low but PFs are climbing.

Sanders provides most of the backup big man minutes and gives me the offensive board, shot blocking and defense that Murphy doesn't.  I wasn't unhappy that he fell to me.  And Grant, whom I've never used, should be the glue in my starting lineup.

I thought hard about taking Charlie Ward, my favorite backup PG, but figured I could forgo his perimeter shooting, take J.R. for nothing but his mad 3s, and find an undrafted PG who plays D and moves the ball without needing to care where he shoots from.

I agree with ash that Nick Anderson would have been a more natural fit with this squad, in which case there would have been plenty of low usage, rebounding big men who actually play defense whom I could have taken over Murphy.  Still, I'm liking my team well enough to drop the coin in the slot and see what happens.

Curious to see which Harden you're using given that you're presumably starting Magic and Kidd alongside each other.

Or he could be doing the high assist thing and putting Magic at SF

Wondered about that, but then he virtually wasted the Mason pick.
