ODL XLVII - '13-14' players yes/no ??? Topic

Nate has brought up the use of the 2013-2014 season players, and we need to decide weather or not to use these, as yet unreleased, seasons in the upcoming ODL. Remember we have no stat's or salary on these players and it will be the owners responsibilty to meet the salery cap and play within the league rules if they draft one of these players. No trolling, this vote is for owners playing in ODL XLVII only.

I kinda like the idea of doing the draft and not knowing if they will be released in time. You should just run the draft like normal and if owners want to gamble on a Anthony Davis or Andre Drummond in the 2nd let them. It sure would make the 6th round interesting. You would just need to put a time limit on when teams have to be entered by. If they don't get them in by the deadline, then they can't use 13-14 players if they come out while we are waiting on them.

There's a potential for hardcore stalling during the draft and after it.  I'm far too impatient for that, once things start rolling.  Unless we agree to postpone the draft until after the '13-14 rosters are released, I vote no.

FYI - If you draft him..you own him, regardless of the '13-14' release date, I consider the team entry deadline as 3 day's after the draft ends. I see the draft starting around 4/4/14, and we can't seed everyone for a week or so after that. I think we're talking maybe the later part of april for a league deadline. Personally I'm watching DeAndre & Blake...what a show they're putting on.
