I've got a redshirt freshman up 40 so far.

I get my regular season shot at St Mary's tonight. What I wouldn't give to be running something other than FB & Press with this team. I've been tempted to change offenses but haven't found the right season to do it.
Yep.  The big River City Rivalry game is tonight.  Huge contest.  #2 vs. #5.  St. Mary's @ Incarnate Word.  Should be a great game.

Laughed when I saw this name.

Thanks to 28 more made free throws on 33 more taken, St. Mary's TX took the River City Rivalry game by 9 over Incarnate Word. So far this season, we have taken 295 free throws vs 203 for our opponents. Definitely a big part of why we are 11-1.

big (and somewhat lucky) win for us (Longwood) over Bel. Abbey. They're still a very tough team.

UW Parkside doesn't look like they will lose a game anytime soon.  Very good team.

Georgie is up 45 so far, as a junior. No red yet, either!

Not much movement in the top 5 teams for a while, just some shuffling.  Only 4 teams can get a #1 seed.  Who gets left out?

St Marys (TX):  18-1, RPI 1, SOS 2.  One game remaining vs a top 50 team (@ Rockhurst).  Could run into 2 top 50 teams in CT (Rockhurst, Incarnate Word)
Longwood:  18-2, RPI 4, SOS 3. Two games remaining vs top 50 (@ Limestone, @ Erksine).  3 other top 50 teams in CT (previous two + Belmont Abbey)
Wisconsin-Parkside:  19-1, RPI 2, SOS 6.  One game vs top 50 (@ S illinois, Edwardsville).  3 other top 50 teams in CT (S Ill Edwardsville, Mercyhurst, U of Indianapolis)
Incarnate Word:  17-3, RPI 3, SOS 1.  Done against top 50.  2 top 50 teams in CT (St. Marys & Rockhurst)
Lander:  20-0, RPI 5, SOS 38.  Two games remaining against top 50 (Kennesaw St, @ Armstrong Atlantic St).  Same two top 50 teams in CT.

Right now Lander is on the outside looking in.  Does form hold or do the teams in tough conferences beat up on one another and allow Lander to snag a #1 seed?  If Lander went undefeated in the 5th best conference, that's a pretty strong resume.

Is there another team that I'm leaving out of the mix?  Limestone?  The winner of the Central Atlantic?  Make a case for your best 4.

As much as I'd love to get to a 1 seed I don't think there's any way someone outside of those 5 gets one barring some catastrophic losses by those guys.

Lenoir-Rhyne is the best team I've played this year and I played 2 of above. Dave I think you only posted this to make you feel better as the obvious top 4 resumes are St Marys, Longwood, UWP, and Lander. But there are no clear-cut favorites this year. My overachievers took Longwood to OT and missed 2 game-winners. We were out-classed by St Marys. But nothing compares to the beatdown I took by L-R who, like you, has lost only 3 games and undefeated in conference.

Lenoir Rhyne may have beat you by 20 and been your most humbling result, but IMO that game was an anomaly.  When I look at their roster next to those other teams I just don't see them being better than Longwood or St Marys.

Thanks for the props hacker but I think I'm a year a way from really contending, and even that is no guarentee considering my post season record. I agree with bow, I don't matchup with those other teams discussed as 1 seeds. I had longwood down by 2 with a min left on the road in non-conference so that gives me some hope but honestly my conference is so awful that it's difficult to give my overall record any credibility. It used to be GM and N. Greenville were NT locks but I may look to jump conferences in a couple seasons.
