Mind if we move Limestone vs. Valdosta to game 9? I have an annual game against oldave I like to play in game 10. Plus it looks like there are plenty of games already for 10.

i think the yarnell runs through week 9 and limestone will be in that again
5/21/2014 7:59 AM
we could do week four kelby --- I am supposed to play Hillsdale wk 9 in Yarnell.  My team will be so bad next year… might as well get the loss out of the way

Yeah I'd prefer that if you don't mind. I'll do week 10 if that's all that works but would rather not.

week 4 it is - I'll send invite -

Valdosta St 54, Limestone 53: Despite brianxavier's prediction, this one couldn't have been much tighter. Valdosta had a three point lead with time running out when kelby's team elected to foul to prevent a desperation three. Limestone converted the one and one, then helplessly watched as time expired. Valdosta's Russell Wolf had a game high 15.

heartland 1, CVAC 0

Rockhurst 74, Anderson 70: Rockhurst was slightly less Simmy than their opponent Anderson, eking out a 4 point win. Rockhurst had 32 points from their starting backcourt while Anderson PG Tom Kalberg went two of eleven with 7 TOs.

St Andrews 79, Oklahoma Panhandle 71: Yaklyn68's squad kept OkPan at bay for most of the way in this contest. St Andrews had balanced scoring with three players racking double digits. "Sheriff" Andy Taylor had a game high 15 in the losing effort.

Heartland 2, CVAC 1

If the practically all Mont comes with 19 points of the 29 point spread tonight does the Heartland get 1/2 a win?

Mount Olive 81, Montevallo 57: No half a win for the Heartland, as young Montevallo could not hang with Mount Olive. Olive's Scott Anderson came off the bench with a game-high 17. Mount Olive enjoyed a 37-27 rebounding edge and pulled away in the second half.

Heartland 2, CVAC 2
7/21/2014 9:08 AM
Lincoln 82, Queens 78: Queens shot better than 56% and Lincoln only 42%, but Lincoln managed to squeak out a win. Lincoln generated 10 steals, but Queens free-throw shooting betrayed them, making less than half of their attempts from the charity stripe. 5 different Lincoln players reached double digits, led by Brad Clever's 18.

No Belmont Abbey-W Florida game on the schedule. ?

Heartland 3, CVAC 2
7/21/2014 9:17 AM
Erskine 61, Drury 50: This one was worse than the final score as Erskine took their foot off the gas with 4:30 remaining and cleared the bench, not scoring again. No Drury starter scored more than 5 points, managing a meager 18 points as a team in the opening half. Allen Himes led the way for Erskine with 14.

All tied up, Heartland 3 CVAC 3.

N Alabama 80, Barton 67: N Alabama rode a tough zone defense and four players with at least 13 points to a comfortable victory over Barton. PoG SG Lawrence Holiday had 19 points.

Coker 68, Incarnate Word 64: A disaster of final 7 minutes for Incarnate Word allows them to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory against Coker. 1 of 6 from the floor, 4 turnovers, an offensive foul and an injury is not a way to close out a team. PofG David Cagle had 10 points & 7 boards. C Irving Hayes had 23 points & 7 boards in a losing effort.

St Edwards 75, Longwood 72 (OT): Longwood's Larry Norman made a 3-three-pointer with 0:07 remaining to break a tie, forcing a timeout by coach gohall. Coach drew up Luis Lockett three with 0:02 remaining to force OT. St Eds took a three-point lead with 2:13 in OT on an old-fashioned three-point play and Longwood could not close the margin. PoG PF Christopher Brunet had 18 points.

St Mary's 73, Lees-McRae 61: Dynamic duo PoG Stephen Parrish and James Clark combined for 44 points as St Mary's got past Lees-McRae. Lees-McRae gunner Gerald Conway was held to 7 of 19 shooting.

W Alabama 64, Pfeiffer 49: W Alabama ground out extra possessions against Pfeiffer in cruising to a 15 point win. They enjoyed a 10 rebound advantage and turned the ball over 6 more times than Pfeiffer. PoG PG Robert Loehr gets 12 points, 5 dimes & steals for the team from Livingston AL.

The Heartland was one game from a closing night sweep and takes the Challenge, 7 games to 4. Congrats to the Heartland.
