Lowly Mid-Major takes over Camp World. Again. Topic

You're comparing SC winning the SEC to UCF 3peat in Camp???  Most difficult conference in GD???  4 elites? Florida and Tenn are both under .500 and you didn't play LSU.  Delusional.  Congrats on beating Bama, truly amazing!!!

Plague are really trying to defend Oklahoma there?   That pretty much makes my point for me.  If you leave everything else the same in Bryant but replace the name 'Oklahoma' with 'Any midmajor', you would be up in arms about how wrong it is that they are in NC game.  But since it's an "elite" no problem, just a weak year lol.

Someone has to make the NC game. Who should of made the NC game over Oklahoma? I said the same thing about your CF team one season. I said no one really deserved to make it over your team.

My first post in this thread  "I think one of the things in Central Florida defense is that in my opinion no other team besides his really stepped up and deserved to be there. Alabama and USC had a very easy schedule, he played a couple of top teams but he only had a few humans on his conference schedule. I think in this situation no team really deserved to be in the NC game over Central Florida, but in general I think the system is flawed in giving more credit in SOS to mediocre teams than they deserve."

1. Miami (OH) nelsonba25 13-0 0.21 1 2 W 59-20 v. Akron
2. Miami (FL) all2matt 12-1 2.01 2 7 W 42-7 at Georgia Tech
3. Ohio State jason5 12-1 3.74 5 3 W 35-28 v. #21 Penn State
4. Oklahoma sddda 12-1 3.81 6 9 W 49-21 v. #3 Texas
5. Southern Methodist mrhands17 13-0 3.89 4 53 W 62-3 at Southern Mississippi

with only conf champ games left we could very easily have an all nonBCS national title,  3 EXTREMELY tough CC games for the 3 contenders to battle Miami (oh).  Imagine the uproar if we see an all nonBCS natl title game amoungst the BCS'rs

#22 Toledo (10-3)

#1 Miami (OH) (13-0)

#2 Miami (FL) (12-1) (-6.5)

#15 Boston College (11-2)

#3 Ohio State (12-1)

#10 Wisconsin (12-1)

#4 Oklahoma (12-1) (-5.5)

#17 Missouri (10-3)

#5 SMU (13-0) (-5.5)

Central Florida (11-2)

How do you put Miami OH over Texas they aren't even in the same conversation.  Doesn't look to me like Miami OH has any business near the top5 but they are pretty much locked into the title game at this point so we're gonna find out.  I'll be rooting for them but I wouldn't bet on them  Probably even a dog to Southern Methodist.

No disrespect, but even my sucky Maryland team beat them.

I don't believe that Miami (OH) really should be in the top 5, but with the WIS rankings figuring out the way they do, I knew I'd be in the NC game if I went undefeated with almost a full conference. This is something that should be worked on, but until then...

Central Florida has the best record vs Elites of any school in Camp the past 5 years.

An actual example of a team coasting through a soft schedule to an inflated ranking would be Oklahoma last season.  Of course, they got pantsed in a bowl by Bama like I said they would.  If anyone missed it let me know I can email you a copy.

....you will continue to game the system?  Looking at your schedule for next season, it looks like you'll be right back in the NC hunt again playing decent BCS teams and Non-BCS teams that will manage double-digit victories by playing weak schedules themselves.  This is not a knock on you as we all exploit the loopholes in other aspects of the game.

Absolutely for next season. Remember, this is only my 4th season at Miami (OH) and it was a sim before, so I don't even have any Sr* players. I will probably start branching out and playing real competition in OOC after next season...

But yes, this another one of the loopholes in the game. And if someone from the Big MAC goes undefeated (which will start being difficult with the coaches in the conference as they start to get their own players), there is almost a 100% chance they will be appearing in the NC game in Dobie...unless someone fills up another conference completely and goes through that conference undefeated...
