yatzr's recruiting tool v1.9.3 - another bugfix Topic

VERY POWERFUL tool.  Its biggest benefit is its ability to scoop up the entire recruit class/assigning vision in a matter of seconds.  I also love the freedom to have three equations for one position and/or two or even one for other positions.  And I can only imagine how great it will be to do 100 ac scouts simultaniously.

However, me personally I do not use any of the equations with stam or we in them. I would rather set a shelf for those two attributes; HENSE I would absolutely love to be able to highlight cells green, yellow, and red. for those two attributes. I believe Hughesjr suggested this also.

Yatzr- When I close it down, then try to click it open, it wont do anything. So I have to click the java icon up top of explorer.  then it opens. when it opens it cant find the permteams.dat file. I redirect it and then load file and/or recent DO NOT WORK.  I have to do "newseason". I lose every thing, equations, filters, vision. EVERYTHING.  Is there a work around here or do I have to keep it open until recruiting is over?

You shouldn't have to leave it open.  What's the first folder that opens when you look for permTeams.dat or the recruits file?  The program should end up making a copy of permTeams.dat in that folder along with config.ini and the season file which ends up being something like "world_season_team.dat" (this is the file you would load from File->Load Season).  Check to see if it made any of those files in that folder.  If not, it could be that the program can't write into that folder due to permissions.  I'm not sure what the fix would be in that case since I can't figure out how to run a java application as Administrator in vista/win7.

Usually, if you stick the .jar file in its own folder along with permTeams.dat and config.ini, it creates the new season files in the same folder and it just works.

1. Documents
2. it created  the file leahy_randolph-macon_63.dat the first time I ran it; back when i was having problems with the ability to use the filters.
once that was fixed and I redownloaded every thing; my new copy doesn't have your built in "s3" equation and nothing will save. I have redownloaded again to the same affect.  Something has changed. Oh, and I deleted leahy_randolph-macon_63.dat file and it won't.

This sounds like you have somehow changed the Windows security permissions on the folder so that your user does not have permission to write in that folder.

I have it working and it's cool. I do have one problem, however. When I open "Set Vision and miles", I have don't know what the user name and password are and it set the team id to yours, but the rest has the correct id.

One question yatzr .. how would it be able to pull "Out of Vision" recruits since it is going to log in as the guy who puts in his username and password now to get them?  (Specifically this question is for the D3, D2, and D1AA guys ... I know there is no vision for 1A)

As a side note. If you are a D1A team and you use the D1A/D1AA recruit file, when you set your miles/vision, the D1AA recruits are listed as out of vision.

The program will recognize what division you're in and then search for guys in the division above you.

Yeah, this was a bug before.  It's taken care of now, so if you're DIA and you tell it to grab DIAA recruits, they'll be considered in your vision.

The bug is back (the one that can't upload stats for teams with paranthases).

Are you talking about the recruit tool?  I never figured out where people were having that problem with the recruit tool, so the bug was never fixed.

No, the team scouting tool.
