I like this:
Money should stay with the team as in real life.

here's an easy thing that will make MANY coaches happy:  Trim the recruiting period by at least a day, preferably two.  If it is somehow a programming issue with the overall world schedule, then tack on the trimmed days to the off season, preferably to the period where new coaches can sign up.

the majority of the people don't need that many days after the signing cycle.  We just sit around and wait, and wait, which is a real excitment/momentum killer.  Shorten the wait time, and increase the window in which new coaches can sign up.  A win win if you ask me.

The downtime of recruiting is waaaaaay too long. Adding another exhibition game is a good idea.

+1 to DKC.

I also think it might be fun to have four or eight team exhibition tourneys. Maybe instead of taking off days, it's just more exhibition time, and we can do these kind of things.

I agree the wait is too long, but I favor changing recruiting to fit the time better and be a little less of a race just to send out the most CV's.

Okay, kind of off track at this point, but we might look at the recruiting phase before this update.  It would disrupt the even month for a season, so seasons would start on different days being less predictable, but all of our other games are like that and don't have a problem.  I think if we cut two days, one of the days would be before signings start and the other after.

Now that sounds fantastic!  Could we lose or reduce the goofy 24 hour dead period where the Sim's constantly recruit while we wait for our 1st cycle/day 1 actions to hit?

Is there any Possible way to make the rankings not TOTALLY dependent on SOS? As it stands u got 0-4 teams rated higher thank 4-0 teams etc its just not real life not by a long shot. For instance if Florida this season in real life played: Bama, Oklahoma, LSU, Arkansas, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Texas, Georgia, South Carolina, Oklahoma St. , Michigan, USC, And Oregon and Went 0-13  would they Really be ranked higher than a for instance Baylor team that Played:  Kansas, Vanderbilt, Iowa St, Marshall, East Carolina, Ohio, Temple, Bowling Green, Tulane, Tulsa, Duke, UConn, and Syracuse and went 11-2 ?? no Baylor would be ranked in the top 10 prob and Florida would be in the bottom 50. It doesnt matter that Florida TRIED to play a bunch of powerhouses and failed what matters is WINS AND LOSSES. Yes SOS should have a part in it but it should not be the be all end all cuz with the way the engine stands with all the upsets and turnover/injury streaks u can never tell who will have a good record and whowill have but a buncha losses and sap ur SOS to death. U can schedule teams that SHOULD be good in the coming year but who know if they WILL be good? and u cant help what conf ur in so if ur whole conf is crappy and u play 8 games against teams with bad recors u can never climb up in the polls.

And as to the too many options/not winning driving away new coaches i dont see how it can. im new and id LOVE those changes in fact when i joined up i fully expected to SUCK at the begining but i took a 149th Guess ranked Hanover team to a 9-4 record and 48th in the WIS but id Much rather have been 4-9 and have some idea as to why i was 4-9 then be 9-4 and have no idea why. i mean i was bashing better schools then id go up against a way weaker school and cuz i beat all these better schools id think: "ok im gonna pound these guys" but no id end up getting my *** handed to me and have no clue as to why it happened. I WANT to have the control, I WANT a million drop down boxes and a million diff wats i can use my Vernon davis TE or a million diff ways i can use my 2 Ray Rice RBs. i joined B/C i wanted to have Control of a College Football Program not have the CPU control it. I want many many options and real results and rankings and im Brand Spankin New my total recorn in GD is 12-5 thats how new i am and i want all these things please.

Hello Norbert: Now that the community has given many outstanding and creative ideas regarding this phase of the update to GD III, what are your observations about what may be in the works?

I've always liked the idea of having 1 or 2 days removed from recruiting and moving them to the season as "off days", like a bye week in real life, so we don't have 13 straight days of a game every day. It works pretty nicely in Hoops Dynasty, imho, and that way the 1 month, 1 season schedule could continue.
