Calling all Council Members Topic

With all the BS is this thread, is it unclear to anyone why they would filter some of this out and pick people who know how to play and who are actually smart enough to have an option when actually trying to get something accomplished.

geez.

For what its worth, when I first joined the game Jas was kind enough to spend DAYS explaining the game to me. he even took a picture of his screen of his game plan and depth chart and what not and showed it to me. He has nothing to hide, nor do I feel like anyone else in this "council" has something to hide. He taught me how to recruit, and ultimately led me on to win 2 national championships so  far. (my most recent one coming today)

I don't have a problem with that. It is basically the same concept of getting a mentor. A few people I see in this thread that are in or belonged to the council were good coaches already.

How is it not beneficial?
There are 3 threads in the council forum, two of which are active currently with discussion.  Thats it, and both threads have to do with how to make the game better.  There's no thread with equations of how a play or ratings are broken down or anything like that.  There is NO secret information.  Anything we know, you can also get from sending in a ticket asking about a part of the game.  Thats basically what the council forum is.  It's like sending in a ticket, but instead there is subsequent discussion on how to improve the game so we dont lose more coaches.

Right, that's what I figured. I for one have never worried about the council getting secret insights, because they don't, and if they did, they would share (right?!).

I don't think this worry is warranted.

All people need to know is norbert and the council are trying very very hard to fix this game.  The wheels are churning currently in the council.

For those who have an issue with the existence of the council, I understand your concerns.  However, I think the idea of the council to vet ideas and to help minimize the noise from the general playing population is a good one.

If you have a better way to do this, please make a suggestion and help to solve the problem rather than complain and exacerbate the problem.

edit:  By noise, I mean that in a statistical sense as in separating the wheat from the chaff.  i.e. many threads in the forums have nothing to do with the engine, they would be a waste of time for norbert and whoever else may be looking for ideas to improve the game in this area.

Maybe it's time to dust off one of the old "What Do You Want To See In The Next Update" threads or just start a new one?

I'll create one.

I understand the conspiracy theory of the existence of the council. However, most companies employ some form of marketing focus groups to solicit feedback. I think it is very wise to gather feedback from current, experienced coaches to focus further software development projects. Especially from successful coaches that have survived the various updates in the past. IMO.

PROTIP:  Instead of getting butthurt, don't be terrible at GD and the internet.  You might find an invitation to join the inner cabal.  Alternatively, you could continue to post like petulant little children and sucking at GD.  That might be what the development team is looking for in the next advisory group.

Exactly.  If you suck at GD, just quit playing the game.
