The update is new give them time to fix the bugs.
Some of these bugs is going to decide who wins the National Championship.
It's just a game?  Honestly does winning the GD National Championship give you any personal gratification outside the Whatifsports community?  Do you stand in line at a restaurant or at the DMV and complain about the line because you won the GD National Championship?
WTF you talking about. If I wanted to go to a restaurant I will go to a restaurant. If I am going to play a game I am going to play to win. I didn't  spend hours recruiting so I can have some screw up recruiting or some jerk telling me it's just a game.
What I'm talking about is why people like yourself get so frustrated over a game.  A game that means nothing in the outside world and in the whatifsports world.  The point of the game is to have fun.  And you need to relax, it's a game!  No one put a gun to your head and forced you to play it.
You're also making a great argument why we should take our money and go home.  After all, it's just a game- who needs this frustration and expense!

Thanks for the help, Rabbit.

i, too, am a crusty old vet, who should have remained in hiatus.  that's $50 down the drain.

even if they fix the engine,  you still have the doubled, maybe tripled cost for those of us who don't regularly win DIA national championships.

my car's engine is also broken, this morning.  mechanic popped the timing cover and it is full of metal shavings...  on a 65,000 mile american car.   today is not a good day for engines.  also not a good time for WIS to raise prices on me.

WIS decided to go with a completely internal testing/debugging process on this one.  I won't state my opinion on that decision but I think people should be aware that the current GD council was not involved in the current game product.
Correct.

... and BOOM  .. they have to re-play all first halves of all league games. Pretty good start for the new engine .....

Or will they, that is the question. In the past they seem resistant to changing the past. If they do replay the first half then recruiting days will be pushed back by 1 day.

I find it unacceptable that they would keep the first half.

They seem to suggest they'll re-run the first half this morning and 2nd half in the afternoon.

Correct.
I've since retracted my "won't state my opinion" stance. Re-reading the PBP's from the games last night was just horrific.

Conte has already deleted the first half.  Go take a look.

"Correct" as in we had nothing to do with testing or how it turned out. I have nothing positive to say about the way things turned out as well as the awful rewards points structure.

Good.

Its my time to sleep. What is the odds the first and second half are simmed before I wake up? I normally don't care about gameplanning, but with the new engine I was hoping to have a chance to adjust gameplans based on the first half results.

I would prefer to have my testicles used as the target in a week-long international skeeball tournament before I asked any of my friends to play this current game.  I suspect the reward point structure failed to account for people like me.
