... But that doesn't make me any happier. Heisman - my Nebraska is 2 going into CC and faces number one Texas. We win. Then the email comes. We fall to number 3, behind a previously number 5 Notre Dame that defeated 21 Michigan in its CC. We do have two losses vs one for the Irish but my SOS is 4 to the Irish 51. Just don't understand how number can beat number one and fall to number three.

Makes no damn sense.

You forgot the "Conte Bonus" for Notre Dame.

This game is just as f()ked up now as it was before. Same thing happend in WILK last season. #2 and #3 lose and #4 with a 12-1 and sos of 2 gets passed up by teams that did not deserv it. #4 had a better record and sos.

I'll bet it will never get fixed. Even in ten years when 4.0 comes out.

Somehow it's the fault of the Obama administration...

Do you mean in ten years when 3.0 gets finished?

What makes this even funnier - in the bowls, my #3 Nebraska beat #7 Washington, #4 USC lost to #8 Oklahoma - and USC gained on Nebraska in the final poll.

Guess the solution is to go 15-0.

Yeah, I opened a ticket to ask about this when I had a team go into the semis that was ranked in the high teens, and finished like #14 behind many teams I'd beaten on the way. And it happened again last year to me in D1aa too, made the NC game and lost but ended up finishing 9th.

I was told head to head doesn't matter; the NC winner gets the #1 ranking and the other teams are simply re-ranked based on record and SOS. Doesn't matter who beat who. So even a deep run ldoesnt really matter cause, although your SOS gets better, so does everyone else's in the POs.

That's a crock of ****.  Head to head needs to matter somewhat, especially later in the season and/or in the playoffs/bowls.  If you win your bowl game against a team, say, 2 spots ahead of you, you should finish ahead of them in the final rankings, no questions asked....
