basically the owner thats not returning sitemailed me that another owner was taking over his team. That other owner was already in the world. So I was thinking that possiblyy the other owner planned on running the franchise under the first user's id. As it turns out the 2nd owner just offered to buy the unused HBD credit from the first owner, and was going to have WIS transfer the credit.

Really I was just hoping for a little excitement while Im waiting for the season to end.

If you want excitement, you could put your good players on the waiver wire and see if I claim thrm.

OK, cool. Obviously you are not obligated to return the player. We set that precedent during the rule 5 draft.

I had a feeling chap wouldn't come back.  He had a really odd sense of entitlement and I sort of felt like he wasn't going to return unless he won the WS.

Not quite a bretian prediction robusk. He flat out said he liked GD better, and that he'd only come back because he'd feel obligated to defend the tile.

Heh.  I had that feeling at like game 40 though.  It was more based on trade chats and sitemails from him...  and not so much a prediction.
