And........?

We should let them. Because marriage is important to them and it doesn't affect us either way.

I don't accept the "doesn't affect me" as a valid reason.

But it's still legal for a man and a woman to marry in FL so have at it.

So what's your reason for not wanting to allow it?

It's a recent phenomenom.   An ongoing battle so to speak.

Give me a reason other than "It doesn't affect you, why do you care?"

Please keep in mind that I don't care about equality in this specific case.
This.

Either do what I request or quit addressing me on the matter.
This.

Did you think I forgot?

I don't have another reason.

Two people love each other and want to get married. Nothing about their relationship is illegal and many states already allow them to marry. Allowing them to marry doesn't affect anyone else, so we should let them marry.

Unless you have a reason they should be stopped?

If you don't have another reason, I guess we're done here.

A couple of recent events that didn't affect me:
Gang rape in India
Sandy Hook shootings

Should I not care because it didn't affect me?

You do see the difference between crimes like rape and murder and marriage, right?
4/2/2013 10:40 AM
Surely you understand "Doesn't affect you" is universal, right?   Or do we now only apply it to specific causes?
4/2/2013 10:41 AM
BTW, sodomy is illegal in a dozen states(or somewhere in that range).

No, it isn't. Moron.

Rape and murder affect *someone*. Marriage affects only the people getting married.
4/2/2013 10:44 AM
Pretty sure it is.

It's a year old so, unless they're have been changes I haven't heard of, it's still illegal in certain states.   But, to be honest, I don't keep up with sodomy laws.

Moron.

"Doesn't affect you" has been the reason.   Is it now "someone"?

I dare say the families and friends of the couple are affected in some way.

Lawrence makes those laws unenforceable. The laws themselves are illegal. Even your article says so, idiot.
