We could spend zero on defense and let someone else kill our citizens.   Of course, they'd probably just kill anybody not just the problems.

You don't think we spend too much on defense?

I was just saying we could spend zero and see what happens.

How do you think it would work out?

I'd rather spend too much than too little.

It was a trick question anyway, as much as Democrats would like to hide it, we spend more on social programs than defense...

It's still ridiculous how much we spend on defense, but at this point it's hard to do a whole lot about it.  It's so much money, you can't just pull it out of the economy.  The vast majority of it supports domestic research and manufacturing.

Do you have any idea how much more we spend on defense than all social programs put together?  Just as a matter of interest.  Seems like there might be other ways to save money without killing citizens.
you brought up money and cost or dont you remember that? im just pointing out how my idea actually saves money which you apparently didn t get, not comparing it to defense or anything else.

Rather than a bullet maybe we should use a hammer.   Bullets cost money.   Buy one hammer and use it repeatedly.

False choice.

There's a third option, the right amount.

is everyone here ADD? dash several posts ago said something about the cost of my idea and I was merely pointing out how it would actually save far more than it would ever cost, which is true. other than that you are getting off track. the main point is that many problems in society would be fixed by my idea bc it addresses the ROOT CAUSE of those problems which is bad parenting.

Only 12 percent of the budget goes to social safety net programs. 43 percent goes to social security and medicare. So...it's not young people having babies that's eating up all the budget, it's retired folks. Time to murder anyone over 65.

social security and medicare are BS too. they run america into the ground financally. plus they wont be there for young ppl who right now are paying in to what is a giant hole that just sucks up their money. i don't think we need to kill ppl over 65. just cut off the programs where they are right now. give ppl a warning grace period of say a year and say that's the end of the line you get nothing after that. it never happen bc there are too many old ppl and younger ones who care for them who would whine and complain. and really thats what its all about in american anymore just whine and complain and be a little ***** and hope it helps you get your way. the ppl who really get screwed over are the young working ppl who do not earn large salary. they will never get to retire bc govt wont be there and they dont make enough on their own. the welfare ppl will be fine bc they can just keep going forever but the working poor are screwed and they deserve to get more than the welfare ppl.
