For months, the “Trump Train” has been denigrated by Donald Trump’s opponents as the little engine that couldn’t in a general election matchup against likely Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
Signs of change are emerging now that Trump has become the presumptive Republican nominee for president, is in the process of securing broader Republican support behind his candidacy and is turning the focus of his campaign on Clinton.
On Friday, a poll by One America News Network and Gravis Marketing showed that in a contest with no other candidates running, Trump would beatClinton 51 percent to 49 percent.
The poll also noted that among Hispanics, Trump topped Clinton 55 percent to 45 percent.
