Apologies, this has probably been covered before.

If I sign a intl FA late in the season, is it better to hold him out until next season so that he starts with 0 years of experience or start him now? i.e. will he develop less if I start him now since his year 1 of experience will be very short? Or he will compensate by developing even when he has 4 years of experience on his player card (more than a normal player would)?

There's no reason to believe that his development will be stunted by playing him now.
