The winner of tonight's Hamline-Marietta game will be the prohibitive favorite to win the tournament.

If Marietta beats Moravian in a couple of hours they will win outright again.  If Moravian beats Marietta, and Hamline loses to Mass. Liberal Arts, Moravian will win on tiebreakers.  If Moravian and Hamline both win, three-way tiebreakers will come into effect.

Since you jinxed me, the least you can do it knock off Marietta so that I can control my destiny to take it to three-way tiebreakers!

Although, scanning the three-way tiebreakers quickly, I don't think I'd have a chance anyway.

Season 67 Predictions

1. Hamline
2. Chowan
3. Moravian
4. Marietta
5. Mass. Liberal Arts
6. Chicago

The way I see it, Hamline is a clear favorite, Chowan/Moravian/Marietta are closely bunched in terms of talent, and Mass. Liberal Arts and Chicago are a small step down.  It should be a fairly exciting tournament again though, as most teams have more mature teams this season.
Wow, these weren't any good.

Well, with a little luck, I was able to do my part zbrent.  I think you're right though in regards to if you had beaten g0at, you would have still lost on tie-breakers.

Congrats to Moravian on their tournament win! Here is my All-Tournament Team for Season 67:
(number of times named "player of the game" in parenthesis)

Gary Watkins (3) - Moravian (***Tournament MVP***) - scored a clutch 24 points (and 6 boards) in the deciding game versus Marietta
Wayne Preece (1) - Moravian
Paul Tyrrell (3) - Marietta
Kevin McBride (1) - Hamline
William Buckman (1) - MLA

Many others were worthy but these contributed the most to their teams success, in my opinion.

I heard a couple of days ago from g0at that he was planning on retiring from HD.  I certainly wish him the best in whatever else he does.  Becasue he was kind enough to give me some warning I was able to line up chapelhillne's Emory squad.  Chapel and I are in the same conference in a number of world's and I have found him to be a tremendous competitor.

Chapelhillne has posted a 277-68 (.803) record in his 11 seasons at Emory.  Emory has made the NT in the past nine consecutive seasons, going a combined 20-9 (.690) in those games.  Emory has also made the final four in two of their past three seasons.

I feel like a few of us probably under-performed in the postseason this season.  Hopefully luck will be more on our side in the future.

Definitely count me in the group that probably under-performed in the postseason, and that's saying something since we made it to the elite 8 and lost to the eventual undefeated champions by only 4. Still, it is disheartening enough that it is making me considering re-evaluating my how recruitment ideas/process/criteria.

It's tough to say zbrent because it's such a small sample size.  You may have just gotten unlucky, which is difficult to accept in and of itself.  With that said, this game is all about experimenting and trying to find new niches to exploit.

I'm not confident about any of this, other than Marietta being the prohibitive favorite.
