Rolltide46, sorry but we only accept veteran owners - why, is the VC worried about trade wrap, that is what the veto is for

yeah , I know this is a no veto league but it should not be

We have a very balanced league. Last season only two teams won more than 100 games; only two teams lost more than 100 games. Our MWR rules ensure that all teams remain competitive.

The Los Angeles team in the NL West  Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Franchise Profile is a team that, with a couple of decent FA acquisitions and a trade or two, will be able to compete for a playoff spot immediately. The have about $70M in committed salary next season and the 11th pick in the upcoming draft. They currently have (2) 80+ overall players in the system and another (13) between 70-79 overall. This is not a four or five-year rebuild. No worries at all about reaching the MWR in the next two seasons with this team.

The Memphis team in the NL South  Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Franchise Profile has about $69M in committed payroll next season, but $39M of it is wrapped up in two players. With just a couple of creative trades, that committed payroll could be reduced to $31M. The have the 8th overall pick in the draft, with (1) player at 90+ overall, (2) players between 80-89, and (6) players between 70-79 in the system today. Over the past three seasons, this team has accumulated (7) first round draft picks, including #20, #27, #29, #36, #40, #46. and #48. They also signed two IFAs of significance in that time frame, one for $5.6M, and another for $10.5M. This is a team that can be rebuilt quickly, and compete for the playoffs in a couple of seasons.

The Washington team in the NL East  Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Franchise Profile can no longer be considered a rebuilding team. It has been rebuilt with young players. This team has only $38M in committed payroll next season, and currently has (2) 80+ overall players and a whopping (19) players between 70-79 overall. Of those 21 aforementioned players, 17 are less than 30 years old. With a couple of tweaks this team is ready to compete now, and will be competitive for a long time. They also have the #6 and #25 overall picks in this season's draft. Over the past three years they have four first round picks: #23, #35, #39, and #47 to go with three IFAs for $3M, $9M, and $14M. This team will not last long.

The Minnesota team in the AL North,  Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Franchise Profile has only $48M in committed salary this upcoming season. It is a ways from competing, however, as it only has  (13) players 70-79 overall, and no players at 80+. The team has the 15th pick in the upcoming draft to go the the four first-round picks from the past three seasons: #18, #20, #26, and #58. They've also managed to sign (4) IFAs in that time, including one for $7M and one for $11M. This will be a challenge for a good owner, but with the low amount of committed payroll, there's definitely some flexibility here.

Nice descriptions, cb.

Yes, that's correct - we do not veto trades in our league. We feel we have a good group of veteran owners, and we permit them to make deals as they see fit. This reduces a whole lot of drama, and the minimum win requirement ultimately keeps things in line. While this policy might not work for all leagues, it does here. If you are a veteran owner who doesn't like his trades micromanaged by 30 other owners, join Moneyball today.
