question...why do i have to take 1 AL and 1 NL team? my goal is to make it to the next round. the rules state that the top 10 teams from each league move on. if i think that the best available team is from the NL then i want to take it. what is the problem there? it seems unfair to penalize me because i had 2 teams make it . i've had 2 teams in the same league a bunch of times so it shouldn't be a problem...
But isn't it all relative since its an unbalanced schedule? If the AL team has a single mediocre team along with 11 really bad teams (versus having 8 powerhouse teams in the NL side), I would think that single AL mediocre team would have a dominant regular season record (which is what gets you to the next round) even if you have zero chance if you made it to the WS against a stacked NL side.
