D'Antoni 1-1 (they looked like Mike Brown was back in the saddle against the Kings)

Dwight only took 4 shots in 40 mins?   Kobe naturally got his 38 points.  Really want to see what Nash does with this offense now.

Definitely reserving any judgement of this team until Nash has been back a few games.  Playing with Morris and Duhon instead of Nash and Blake (still LA's 2nd best PG to me) is a  H - U - G - E  difference.  What would most teams look like without their top 2 PGs?

Kobe got those points in like 20 shots which is hugely efficient , not his fault Dwight wasnt taking shots - the Lakers bigs got out hustled and out played by the Kings under-sized tweener guys

The West is shaping up to be very tough yet again.  Denver, OKC, Memphis, Clippers, Lakers, Spurs.  If healthy they are all tough teams in the playoffs.  Plus Love is back for the Wolves.

D'antoni benching Pau for the 4th qtr the other night doesn't bode well for his future in LA methinks.

I really like the Wolves as a sleeper team if they can get and stay healthy of course.

That said, I would be surprised if the Lakers or Thunder wasn't playing the Heat in the NBA Finals this year.

Pau's the obvious bargaining chip in any trade but given the fact that he's suffering from tendinitis in both knees at the moment Im thinking less minutes is a good thing

meanwhile Howard pulls down 4 rebounds in 40 minutes or goes 0 for 4 for an entire game but Gasol is a big *****

^ Well, I didn't say that.  dantoni said he pulled pau because he "wanted to win the game".  His words not mine!

and yes, in fact Dwight is playing like a big *****.

Hoopsworld seems to think Boston is still very interested in Pau.  Looking at Boston's roster the only trade that gets the proper dollars and that even makes any sort of sense for Boston would be Green, Lee, and Bass for Pau.  Is that something the Lakers would do, I have no idea, but in theory it would at least shore up the Lakers depth by adding three solid rotation players all in their 20's.

god no - minnesota would be interested but unfortunately Williams has stunk

Don't see why Denver does that?  I really think Pau's value is shot.  The last year+ has not been good for him.

bs - he's out of position and out of sync - there are teams that would definitely make a move for him and could benefit from doing so
