In an 11/12 year old Little League practice a couple of weeks ago, we briefly had a LH 2B, SS and 3B.  With a RH 1B.
Played a softball game the other day that had a LH2B.   I thought "WTF?" then looked around.   LHP, entire LH OF and an immobile RH 1B.   I guess they didn't have a lot of options.

Checking a league forum and scrolling down the page, when my eyes catch a glimpse of uncleal as a most recent poster. My heart skipped a beat, I frantically had to find the forum. But, alas my dreams were crushed as it was only about ground rule doubles in left field at Fenway. The real shocker was that he didn't argue that GR doubles there are just as likely in LF as in RF.

In our fall championship game last Saturday (13-15 year olds), we had a LH 2B and 3B for one inning.  With a RH 1B.

The LH 2B also was our #2 catcher this fall.

They aren't, but left handers with arms strong enough to catch usually end up on the mound.

Am I he only one who thinks a lefty shortstop would be an advantage to a righty one? Balls up the middle, it's be easier to throw, easier to throw after a toss from the 2nd baseman in a double play. And a play between 3rd and SS, wouldn't making a spinning throw have just as much velocity, if not more, than from someone jumping and throwing

I still remain unconvinced that lefty catchers are at a substantial disadvantage, though it depends how RH-heavy your league is...
You'd probably have more Russell Martin moments and more steals of third.   But I doubt "substantial" would really describe those events.

Try pages 56-64 for a fun turn in the whole escapade (It's the fake spaceship angle)

Checking whether the concept of a LH2B is still stupid in the new format.....

Yes. It's just a different shade of lipstick on the pig.
