Having sent K-Rod, Kameron Loe, Manny Parra, Jose Veras, and Livan Hernandez, the Brewers began reconstructing their bullpen by trading minor league OF Raul Mondesi, Jr. to Tampa for Burke Badenhop.

Ryan Dempster's agent has confirmed some interest in the Brewers, but he is looking for a 3-year deal and Melvin has publicly said he is not willing to offer more than 2 years to a free agent pitcher.

Argh. Word is that the Brewers are signing Lohse.

Guaranteed: whoever is selected in the draft slot that the Brewers forfeit will be a Hall of Famer.

I was very happy when the Philles released him the other day.  Do you want Delmon Young, too?  You may want to wait - I'll probably be willing to throw in Michael Young pretty soon.

New lefty reliever Miguel Gonzalez faces three batters... all score, and the Rockies double up the Crew 8-4.

Tom Gorzelanny (another new lefty reliever) allows a run too. It's like Manny Parra never left.
