one of my teams doesn't have buttons to push under 'franchise recommendations' for my minor league levels (individual) altho my other 2 teams do under 'management console'. am i missing something? seems like all of them should, no?

It's safe to assume it's your KC team.  Minor league options don't appear until ST is over.

do you go thru your minors and set the secondary positions for all your players? and do you do that as soon as you get em (like right after the draft)? i tend to forget until i see guys with bigtime fatigue cause they're not being rested/replaced.

I do it as soon as I sign them.   Then, if they're of any value, I update in S5 to their currents.

I've mostly been playing Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Burt Edwards at 3B and Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Emil Sanchez at 2B.  I'm sure most people would do the exact opposite.  Trailblazing or idiotic?  Or would it come out about the same either way?

It doesn't appear to have hurt you but I think you get more positive plays if you reverse them.

I might try it that way next season and compare.

So you think one guy with 80/80/60/60 would produce more plus plays at 2B than at 3B?  My limited observation has been that a big arm at 2nd can really compensate for average range, while an average arm limits the number of plus plays compared to what I'd expect.  I don't notice much downside to playing that same 60/60 arm at 3B.

Recent examples:
Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Lawrence Duffy (season 25 at 3B; note Glove improved a lot between 24-25)
Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Trevor Pierre (season 25 at 2B)
Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Aramis Calles (lots of time at 2B with underwhelming results)

Pierre is who really threw me for a loop.  77/82 Range/Glove going for 13+ and .992% at 2B.  I used to go more for the 85/75/60/60 type like Calles, but it's way easier to find "not-quite-SS" guys like Pierre.

I found a player who is kinda an anomally. Defensive ratings are 100 Range, 73 Glove, 100/97 Arm Strength/Accuracy. Where do you play him based on those numbers?

Arm strength produces + plays at 3B also.    I usually play glove at 2B, arm at 3B.    Of course, because 2B gets more action, that might be why you're getting an essential wash with your guys.   I'd expect the 60 arm to produce some negs at 3B but it hasn't.

2B or CF.   My guess is he's LH so CF.    He could play 3B also(if not LH).

Yeah that's a big part of why I tried this.  I would expect that too, but I haven't really seen it happening.

That is not a question.

If your team composition is best for it, I wouldn't be scared of SS for this guy if he threw right.  Ton of plus plays, a third of a ton of errors.

[realizes he hasn't asked a question of Mike]

Would the 73 glove be a deal-breaker for you at SS, Mike?

Which thread is hitting the dumb scale higher, Doma or Martin?

More importantly....what is your seasonal prediction for the season 27 Jud Frys?
