That happens sometimes.  No idea why.   Anyway, I'd expect Ellie to hit homers anywhere but, so far in his BL career, it's not been so.   Coop is a pitcher's league but he's not hitting for squat.  Which is why he'll be back in AAA next year.

So if he played a full season (about 620-650 ABs) how many HRs would he hit in Colorado or Sante Fe?  Would he top 70?

A lot would depend on the competiton but my AAA park is +4 in HR in both fields.   He hits one about every 9 AB.    Assuming better pitching, which there better be at the BL level, I'd guess about 1 every 15 at best.  40ish.   His splits aren't good, his contact is weak and his eye is good.   All those add up to not enough balls in play to hit very many more.

As I look over my budgeting decisions for my upcoming season, I see - as always - that IFA is the greatest market inequity in this game. Yes, if you "win" in IFA you get a player who is a guaranteed all star or HOFer, maybe even an instant starter. But it requires sacrifice in most every other budget category. And I play in a world with a few guys who are determined to win IFA at all costs, so if you don't go all in, you're left with nice minor league players, guys who might someday be the 24th man on a BL roster.

But I also realize that if I skip IFA altogether, I can pretty much do anything else I want to.

I know it depends on each team's individual circumstances, but I'm really tempted to sit it out. Do you ever sit out IFA?

28 seasons in Coop, I budgeted less than 5m for IFA scouting about half the time.   30 seasons in MG, I budgeted less than 5m about 25% of the time.   So, yes, I pass on IFA with regularity.   There are times when my payroll won't allow it and there are times when it's not worth it.   I just signed Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Hipolito Iglesias for 19.2m in Coop.   He's a 5-6m guy.  However, we're 130 games and three other owners had more prospect money left than me.   I either dumped on him now or possibly got shut out holding 19.2m in prospect money.   It's happened before in Coop.   And that's why I was out of IFA half the time.
