I'm not a fan of doing nothing when the wheels are coming off and I think you should always be looking to improve your team.   But, sometimes, there's just nothing you can do.   You just have to figure it out if it was overperforming earlier or underperforming now.

Caught this on an old post from mhulshult --

Don't forget to look at durability. That's how quickly they recover from fatigue. They recover about as many percentage points per cycle as their durability rating. A SP with durability of 10 is going to take (approx) 6 cycles to return from only going down to 40% after a start...this drops his value.

Is this true? So a guy with 30 durability gains 30% out of 100% each cycle?

It's a good ballpark but it's not that exact.     You can look at one of your fatigued pitchers and see how many points he's recovering.    In my experience, it's usually within 2-3 points.

Got a guy at #53 with a better than decent bat and a weird glove. Projects to 72 28 89 90 8. He's 18 so I'm sure he will not hit all of his projections, but where should I play him? I'm thinking RF. HBD suggests DH, but it's got to be 1B at least. Thoughts?

I'm not given the option of extending the contract of  Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Alex Lind He also doesn't show up on my arb page for next season. I would like to have him back next season. What will be his fate though?

He'd have a lot of + plays and errors at 1B.   RF would probably be best.

Pretty sure he'll be auto-signed for 500k.   He won't be a FA.

Do you use RC27 to look at your teams? If so, have you noticed any sort of benchmark for success?
8/30/2015 8:38 AM
I use RC27 to evaluate offensive value.    It's sort of relative to your team but a player over 5 is above league average.   Over 7 is a guy carrying your offense.   But, as I said, it's relative to your team.   My Albuqueque teams scores a lot.  I have a bunch over 5.   My Charleston team is disappointing the hell out of me and not scoring much.  I have one over 5.

Defensive numbers:

Player A: 73-76-49-52
Player B: 91-78-92-90

Who would you suggest play 2B and who CF?
8/30/2015 4:11 PM
Can't put 73 range in CF.  Ever.  Player A will be a below league average 2B but the worst CF in the world unless you've got a tanker.

Situation: you take a player to arbitration for the third time (it was a tough decision to do that or sign him long-term).  Now of course you wish you had signed him long-term but it is too late and he won't even negotiate with your "cheap" franchise.  When he becomes a FA, will your team be ruled out automatically, or can you pursue him just like everyone else?  If you can pursue him in FA, will you be at any disadvantage because of his history with your team?

He'll treat you like every other team.  No advantage/disadvantage just money.

Will RGIII be a future Raider? If not, the Birds? The Jets?

8/31/2015 5:25 PM
Raiders are pretty happy with Carr.    Seems like the Jets give everyone a shot.   Eagles, maybe.   Pittsburgh, maybe.   Cards, maybe.
