You only lose option years when a player is promoted to the big leagues. You can add a player to the 40 on the last day of the season to prevent them from becoming FA.

So, in one of my leagues a guy posted in world chat that he wanted to trade a player he said was one of the best catchers in the league. The player makes $8 million a year and last season hit .198. I pointed this out in world chat, and the other owner is giving me **** about talking bad about players he is trying to trade. Does he think no one else would notice that if I didn't point it out? Did I break one of the unwritten rules of HBD??
