Oklahoma City Thunder: 2 Seed Likely Topic

After some small troubles, namely giving the Clippers their only win, things are going okay even with Jeff Green sidelined and even winning 2 games with Durant gone.

A lot of close calls involved as 7 of the 9 wins are by 7 points or less. A ridiculous 87% team free throw shooting is helping. OKC leads the league with 27 made free throws/game.

Looking ahead, with the exception of 2 games with New Orleans and Dallas the dregs of the NBA from now until January. So expect an artificially pumped record and the bandwagon being filled back up.

People who pay attention won't care until they start playing some flipping defense.

Sitting #5 in the west at 22-11 after a blowout of the Hawks. Durant leads the NBA with 28 PPG.

Some nice games Friday and Saturday vs Hawks and Spurs.

They will get crushed in the 2nd round, if they make it that far.
12/30/2010 12:54 PM
Doubtful they get crushed vs anyone. They'll win at least 2 games no matter who they play.
12/30/2010 7:17 PM
That qualifies as getting crushed in my book.

Very nice win at home vs Atlanta. Triple double for Westbrook as he got a cheap last assist. Moved past Utah for the top spot in the division.

Big game vs the Spurs. Hung with them earlier this season before getting wiped out in the 4th. This ones in SA.

Stomped vs the Spurs.

Some time to regroup and go to Memphis on Tuesday.

Losing at Memphis is a downer, although both the Lakers and Heat lost there as well.

Barely defeated a depleted Dallas team.

Half game back of Utah for 1st in the division. Team defense is not doing well. Players seem to be going more for steals than for playing solid D, and it's showing on the scoreboard.

Kept up with the Jazz with a win in the rematch with the Grizz. Durant went for 40 for the second time this season. Zach Randolph killed them on the inside again, but their guards shot badly.

Only 2 games this week. Wed @ HOU, who are on a 5 game losing steak. Then on Thur on TNT have a very, very interesting game vs the Magic.

Managed to hold off the Rockets. Scola put up 31.

With Dallas falling quickly could manage to move up the 3 slot soon.

Home vs Orlando tonight. Prospects of a victory aren't too good. With the way post players kill the Thunder inside, there's no way of stopping Dwight Howard unless they can get lucky and get him in foul trouble.

Good win vs Orlando. No stopping Dwight Howard whatsoever. Jeff Green looked awful on D.

Lakers tonight as their coming off a loss yesterday to the Clips. A win would put the Thunder a game behind the Lakers for the #2 spot. I have a feeling Kobe's going to shoot the Lakers out the game. That's the hope anyways.

Had a great chance to win, but just couldn't get any 3's to go in. Many of them wide open. Just great to watch Westbrook and Durant go through defenders on the way to layups. Granted Derek Fisher was prominently involved, but it's still good viewing. There's flaws involved, but they could win a playoff series vs anybody.

Fall back to a tie with Utah with the loss. Next game @ Denver on Wednesday.

At one point they were shooting something like 6.5% from 3.  And the Lakers were 6/10.  That's never a good sign.
1/18/2011 11:20 AM
Steve Kerr kept harping on the fact that OKC is last in the league in 3pfg so it's not like that's out of character
