CAPB League - Need One Owner for Open Playoff Team Topic

Well, we are wrapping up another excellent season in the CAPB league, the junior of our founding commissioner randallball's two HBD gems, and it appears that we will have one franchise opening. Like randall's other league -- the NABCL -- the CAPB is a strong and flourishing league made up of some excellent owners who have long tenure in our league and in WIS overall. League championship series for season 14 are kicking off within the hour and we should be ready to roll over to our 15th season within a couple of weeks.  This is a great chance to stake a claim in a premiere, highly stable and very competitive league.  We'll post a franchise profile shortly to pique your interest, but, in the interim, please sitemail us if you have questions or want to be considered.  All prospective owners will be vetted through our existing owner group, so interest alone is no guarantee of a franchise. CAPB has a strong track record of committed, passionate owners and we intend to maintain the record until randallball returns.

NL South franchise (New Orleans currently)

This franchise is the current NL South division winner -- albeit with a .500 record -- and they have some very intriguing talent on their roster.  They have finished at .500 or above for the last six seasons, capturing first or second in the division each time. The minors could use some work, but the major league players are a very solid bunch that should continue to be competitive for the foreseeable future.

Some key pieces for this franchise:

http://wisjournal.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerProfile.aspx?pid=2441342 - John Kwon, slugging first baseman, former ROY and two-time league MVP.

http://wisjournal.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerProfile.aspx?pid=3068621 - Taylor McGee, table setting CFer, former ROY and two-time Silver Slugger in CF

http://wisjournal.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerProfile.aspx?pid=2109407 - David Vogelsong, all-star SP

http://wisjournal.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerProfile.aspx?pid=2486423 - Richie Lamb, under-valued SP and former #1 draft pick

http://wisjournal.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerProfile.aspx?pid=2109432 - Wilfredo Lee, relief pitcher extraordinaire

UPDATE:  vkhcougars has selected his old franchise.

Another NL South franchise (Charlotte at the moment) is up for grabs.  One owner (zanatural -- a quality guy who a lot of you know) for 14 previous seasons.

Well, season 14 just wrapped up and examinerebb is continuing his recent domination, with his Buffalo Soldiers winning their third championship in the last last four seasons.  Who can knock him off the top of the hill?

An AL East franchise is now available (and currently in Norfolk).  ripnsnort has managed this team for six seasons and they are at a low point right now but there are some good parts to work with.

Easy for ebb to say -- he's won three of the last four seasons -- but it is true.  This is a really top tier ownership group.

A great league. Been here 5 seasons now and this is always among the top rated leagues by any measure. As some of you know I do radio/podcasts on HBD. I've been mainly doing only my own leagues to try to put out a better "show". Familiarity with the owners and players help make for smoother podcasts. Bloggers are weclomed with the Red Carpet treatment here. ;)
