Ah, yes. Preston Mendez... I remember him dominating your guys' league week in and week out (I'm the owner of the Bogota Bulls, the real ones, in Colombia of that world with an alter ego). He also made my life miserable in CL play, if I remember correctly.

Jarvis Gavell just went over the 700 career goal mark.  He has scored at least 23 goals in each of his 19 seasons.  he only scored fewer than 1 goal per game once in his career, his 4th season when he scored 31 goals in 33 games.  the best part is that his contract has never been over $1 mil.
Jarvis is still chugging along at 51 years old.  He is now up to 807 games played and 935 career goals.  He still scores more than 1 goal per game and hasnt seen a ratings drop in any category since roll over from his 40 yo season to his 41 year old season.  Hell, he scored 33 goals in 24 games as a 49 year old.  At this rate, i am going to keep him playing forever.

948 career goals, but I'm letting him go after this season... hopefully he can break 950 in the 3 remaining games! Enjoy retirement Markus Fanger

You didn't want to get over 1,000?

What's the highest overall anyone has had for a player? I've got a goalie that's up to 88 overall now.

I now present to you the best scorer I've ever seen in this game in Kryznowek Mickiewicz. I picked him up this offseason after his owner's team staledated without his contract running out, so he didn't retire. He currently has 1,066 goals, all but 25 of those coming with Who FC.

He's on a real cheap contract for his output... what's his OA?

Currently 58. He was at 65 six seasons ago.  He's got a 95 shooting rating and some more solid ratings across the board, though, so for what I'm paying, he's more than worth keeping around.

Have we looked at single game scoring at all in this thread? Just wondering what everyone's record is after hanging 17 on a sim on an alt ID:

What's the most number of games someone has had a player play without picking up a card?
9/7/2015 10:01 AM
One of my guys is up to 702 games (and counting) without receiving a card.

That's quite a lot. How old is the player?

That is, IMO, one of the very unrealistic quirks of this game. Certain players go entire careers without ever receiving a card of any kind.

Also, penalty kicks being far too rare, and goalies never getting injured.

43 years old so far. He's still 70 overall, so I plan on keeping him around to play 10 or so games a year with his 100 passer rating and lack of athletic ability I'd like to think he's my Pirlo. In his prime I was playing him 30 + games each season.

The lack of goalie injuries has led me to adopt a 1 goalie per roster for my two teams and just play them every game.

43, 70 overall, very workable.  My favorite player ever was like that... 100 in all his ball skills and instincts, he was like Beckham but he was a defender so I eventually let him retire around 45.  Just didn't want to chance playing a D with no strength or speed.

I didn't know/think the sim would let you roster only one goalie.  Or do you roster a very cheap backup and just never play him?

You apparently just need to have 18 field players. No backup GK on the roster.

What's the most experience bars someone has gotten for one player? I have a player with 8 (4 at forward, 3 at midfielder, 1 at defender) that I think I can get up to 10.
