Anyone else think WifS needs to open a few more so the n00bs will have a place to play?

Maybe Branch Rickey should go public to fill since they sure as heck have not moved from 15 openings while staying private and doing nothing to recruit.

There will be a new world created tonight.  Mark my words.

That should help fill private worlds that like to help new owners learn the game... I hope.

Or force them into crappy private worlds where they'll find a team that's been stripped of all it's talent.

That's basically the same as a public world.

Here's a hint to a certain world:   If you commish says "I don't have time to do this by myself", find someone else.   As a commish, I'll take all the help I can get but, if it's required, someone else needs to do it.

If a new world is formed, I would love to be on a team from season 1.

I've been in three worlds from season 1, and it's less than it's cracked up to be.

I agree with others. BR and other worlds like it should go public to fill.

I'd argue that you're just making the problem worse by doing that.

Hurrying to fill and taking the first warm bodies you can get is a recipe for disaster.

Doing that when you're already in an awful place is not going to solve a damned thing.

Boston Tea Party went in the shitter when we rolled with two openings, but the commish went AWOL the day we rolled.  Had something like 15 openings at one point becuase people got bored and/or ****** off waiting for him to come back (long term owner who left 4 teams behind).

New commish has diligently got us down to 3 openings without going public, and without conceding any of the rules upon which the world was founded.

There's NO easy cure.

I could care less what BRickey does.    But going public isn't a solution to any problem except filling faster.

I couldn't disagree more.  But it's probably largely a matter of opinion.

Ive only had that pleasure once, and it was joining a world that doesnt allow trading.  My experience was much like Shobob says, but then again, maybe if I joined a world from season 1 where trading is allowed and has a MWR I might find it a more rewarding experience.

I don't understand what the allure is.  You basically inherit a team with no history to look at and understand.  What is the difference between a team randomly built by the sim and a team randomly built by a mediocre owner?  It's not like you're getting a team with no holes, you just don't get to see how they performed the last 20 seasons.  You're fooling yourself if you think a new world is filled with candy and unicorns just because it's new.
