LOL@BEARS!!!!
The Chicago Bears are giving JaMarcus Russell a chance to return to the NFL. ESPNChicago.com reports Russell, plus three other quarterbacks, will work out for the Bears on Friday.
Russell, the No. 1 overall pick of the 2007 draft by the Oakland Raiders, has been attempting to make a comeback this offseason after last playing in the NFL in 2009. As part of his training, he's staying active in passing drills, working with former NFL quarterback Jeff Garcia and also has slimmed down to 265 pounds.
The Bears have Jay Cutler as their starter and Josh McCown as the primary backup. But with Matt Blanchard listed as third on the depth chart, there's an opening for another QB to compete for a roster spot.
