Brouthers in a heartbeat. The guy is a beast. He never fails to put up otherworldly numbers, even at higher caps. Just look at the performance histories between the two. Their best seasons are separated by 60+ RC and their average seasons are separated by about 35+ RC, both in favor of Brouthers. As for HRs, in their PH, their best seasons has Delgado with 25 and Brouthers with 24, while on average Delhado puts up 23 to Brouthers 18. You're not losing much by way of HR potential with Brouthers, but you're gaining so much more.

Agree,  Brouthers is certainly the better pick for reasons outlined above, and as your "little voice" is already telling you
