When someone lines into a double play (someone is doubled off the base), in the play-by-play there is no period at the end of the sentence.  As in - 

M. Wieters lines out to SS, who throws to 2nd to double off A. Jones 

Told you it was a small fix.

I think that should be an exclamation point and not a period. Let's discuss.

I'd go with two exclamation points.  Afterall,  it's a double play!!
