Just to get new owners a taste of the game. Let them  trade a little bit but scrap the Dynasty part for the free version. They could cut out the draft and the Minors and let new owners get comfortable learning with out the cost.

Something similar has been proposed occasionally in the past.

"Training" worlds.  They would be abbreviated single-season worlds.  Many (if not all) of the current aspects of the "full" version of HBD, just on a very compressed timeline.  Maybe a six-game spring training, and a thirty-game regular season.  No playoffs.

They do that for the Sim games, right? A 20 game baseball season or something like it.

Yes, I feel like they had a 10 game version for free.  I remember playing it, loving it, and then paying for a full season because of it.  Great suggestion.

Also, it weeds out those players who will become overwhelmed by the game.  Although maybe they don't want that.
