I wanted to get a head start on filling the league this year... so far, we have 4 teams leaving. A detailed report of each team is listed below and will be updated every week or so.  This was my first year as commish, and I think this is a great league. This is my 5th season. We've had 4 different WS winners in the last 4 years. A good mix of veteran and moderately experienced owners. 

Here are the 4 teams available for Season 18...

Chicago Cocophonous Waves (AL North)
Current Owner - danknuggz (3 seasons as owner of team)
S17 Record: 90-72 (2ndPlace)
S16 Record: 103-59 (2nd Place)
S15 Record: 98-64 (2nd Place)
S18 Committed Payroll - $73,000,000
Projected Draft Pick - 26th
Notes - Good veteran team. Has good power in the middle of the lineup. SP may be getting up there in age but a lot of talent left in the tank.

Vancouver Spirit Bears (AL West)
Current Owner - shobob (1 season as owner of team)
S17 Record: 68-94 (4th Place)
S16 Record: 75-87 (4th Place)
S15 Record: 64-98 (4th Place)
S18 Committed Payroll - $8,750,000
Projected Draft Pick - Top 10
Notes - I think this team has the most potential out of any of the four. Great nucleus of young hitters. Pitching leaves a lot to be desired.

Syracuse Jack Wagons (NL North)
Current Owner - AndyT13 (1 season as owner of team)
S17 Record: 65-97 (3rd Place)
S 16 Record: 76-86 (3rd Place)
S15 Record: 49-113 (4th Place)
S18 Committed Payroll - $33,468,000
Draft Pick - 4th or 5th
Notes - This team has some talented minor leaguers due to poor record. Plays in the weakest division in the world. Prime position for a quick turnaround.

Wichita Linemen (NL East)
Current Owner - KPMcClave (1 season as owner of team)
S17 Record: 87-75 (1st Place)
S16 Record: 74-88 (3rd Place)
S15 Record: 79-83 (3rd Place)
S18 Committed Payroll - $96,000,000
Projected Draft Pick - 20th
Notes - Owner signed 2-3 high profile FA's last year but is leading in a division vacated by a long-time owner.

Flyboy here is a complete rookie so his comments should be taken with a grain of salt.  I don't post on the world's message board much but yes we had two teams drop this season but they were rook owners and the commish acted quickly to get rid of them and get competent veteran owners in to replace them. 

We also had one guy call out tankers but I think some if was deserved while calling out publicly shouldn't happen.  It's been a great, competitive league that finally has a good comissh after some poor ones and should be moving in the right direction.

Flyboy couldn't be further from the truth. I am the commish and I take great offense to his comments. For some reason Flyboy gets really upset when some says he's a rookie. He flew off the deep end earlier this year on that issue. There was one person who attempted to call out "tankers" and he had some good points but there is currently no "anti-tanking" rule in this world so not much I could do. That will change next season. As for his comments on replacement owners, that happens everywhere so not much to say there. This is a great league that has had a revolving door with a few franchises, and I'm hoping to change that as commish. Anyway, this is a great league and will only get better. Hope you'll consider one if the teams above.

I am one of the departing owners. I am also the owner referred to as "calling out" tankers. I make no apologies for that, and if it bothers you, well I am not returning.  flyboy's criticisms are exaggerated or entirely invalid.

I told you that they would call me a rookie, and dismiss all of these comments.  I said that.  These remarks are right on target.  You'll see when you join.

While it's true there has been some in-fighting this season, I'm in my 9th season in the league and this was a minor hiccup. Lots of good owners, JMarkey is a dedicated commish. I have no beef with flyboy, but completely disagree with his remarks.

Forget flyboy's comments.  Jmarkey will get this world in shape, as soon as some anti tanking rules are brought in.
