Lost pick for signing a type A? Topic

I finished with the 15th worst record last season but because of 2 Type picks ahead of me this season I have the 17th pick in the first round. Do I lose a 1st or 2nd round pick if I sign a type A FA? Should be 2nd round right?

I believe you lose the 1st pick below the 16th overall, so you would lose your 1st round.

No.  Natural 16th and before are protected.   The comp picks don't count.

Easiest way to know is to look at your WW priority at the beginning of the season. If it is 16 or less, then 2nd rounder is what you would lose.
