Recruit spending question Topic

I am running low on money.  I have a guy that I've spent some money on but my funds are very limited right now.  My question is, would sending materials or giving phone calls make a guy consider joining my team?

Yeah, but I was thinking more along the line of getting a recruit to consider you.  I know he's willing to be recruited, but I don't have the money for campus visits or whatnot.  Is it a waste to try to use materials or calls to get a recruit to consider?

it can be done... better with promises, but i've signed guys with $300-400 in calls/letters and a scholly before. i've also had those same guys never consider me.

The cheapest way I have found to get someone to consider you is to use a promised start. You can get some guys to consider you as cheaply as a promise start + scholly ($110), although I have had a little more success by send a couple phone calls and/or letters at the same time. It ends up costing ~ $200-$250. Of course you'd want to make sure that you can follow through on that promise.

Assuming he does not end up considering anyone else, you might be able to get him with just an offer. I've done it before with guys that got no interest elsewhere.

Granted, he's only going to be a slop time eater, but cheap is cheap.

I've signed several players in the past with only a scholarship and promised start ($110). As long as you can follow through with the start, that's the way to go to get someone for the least amount possible.
