Ineligible transfer from d2 to d3 Topic

So, I signed a transfer from D2 to my new D3 team.  He's going to be a Sr, but would have 2 eligible years in d2 because he'd get his Sr/5 year.  I assumed he'd get one year because that's what it says on his recruit page, but hadn't checked the recruit page.  Will he still get the Sr/5 year in D3?
