So I've played quite a few seasons now but I think my understanding of the recruiting budgets and rules are still a little fuzzy so I'd like to confirm my understanding. It doesn't help that a lot of the guides and Q&As are 6+ years old. Hopefully someone can just correct me where I'm wrong
- If you have a walk-on, you get $0 carryover
- If you filled your open scholarships in that season, you carry-over 25% of the remaining money
- You get $15k per open scholly in D1, but if you have 7 open due to EEs, you only get money for 6 ($90k)
- If you have no open schollies in a year, you carry-over 100% of your money. So you're done recruiting for S10, filled your scholarships and you have $20k left over. Season starts, that goes down to $5k. S11recruiting starts, you had no SRs, no EEs plus you get $10k for S10 tournament results, gives you $15k for recruiting but no one to recruit. Season starts and you still have $15k which you'll use for S12 recruiting.
Hopefully this has made sense.
