Need 1 for 1982 Progressive-filled! Topic

We need 1 replacement owner for a progressive which started in 1970. We will be entering our 13th season (1982) and this is the first replacement we have needed in 4 seasons as this is a very stable league.

The team available is the Cincinnati Storm Chasers, who have a record of 79-78 tied for 2nd in their 4 team division, only 3 games out of first.

The 1981 roster of the Storm Chasers is posted below.

None of the above players retired before the1982 season, so the first task of a new owner will be to decide which players to keep and which (if any) to cut.

There are only 16 teams in the league so there is plenty of talent available.

DH in both leagues (per a league vote), no WW or AAA.

Is there a salary cap?  I have never done a progressive league, but this sounds like fun.  How does the draft work?  Thanks

The San Diego team is currently named the Chickens, but the name can be changed at the discretion of a new owner.

The team had a record of 81-81 for the 1981 season and will draft 8th in the 1982 draft. P Jim Bibby will be IR in 1981 but probably should be cut. OF Al Woods is of minimal value in 1982 and should probably also be cut. Other cuts are at the discretion of the new owner
.

Interested prospective owners will be given immediate access to the league's private forum. The first task of a new owner will be to post keepers for the 1982 season. The available player list will be posted in the next couple of days. if a new owner is not found before the available player list is published, I will temporarily assume that Bibby and Woods will be cut and all other players will be keepers.

I'll jump on this team.  I will have a few teams rolling off, so looking to get into another progressive.  Let me know and I will work on cuts.

You are already in this league cpmitch and you have the best record. You going to double up with a team in each league?

This post has a rating of , which is below the default threshold.
I prefer not to have double ownership when possible so I'll give the team to papabilly.

cpmitchno1, I am planning to start a new league soon and I'll invite you to join that league-I'll send you a site mail regarding the league.
