Homeland Security - Java - and HD! Topic

Security says to disable Java. I'm using Safari and in preferences - security - it is easy to 'unclick' Enable Java. WIS seems to run ok doing that. I also 'unclicked' Enable JavaScript but find switching between worlds using the pull down tabs doesn't work.

Question?

Do you think just unenabling Java is enough?

or,

Should we also unenable JavaScript?

And a big thanks to all you enablers out there that made my younger years so great!

JavaScript has ZERO to do with Java.  You don't need to disable it.

It's likely you don't need to disable Java either as the warning probably doesn't apply to most people and most sites but if you do, it won't have much impact on 99% of the sites you go to.

What Lizak said.  Java and javascript aren't the same thing.  Not even a little bit.  They aren't even related.  Javascript just stole some nomenclature from Java so they decided to call it "Javanese."
