One of many though I usually refer it as crap. D-WAR is crap. I'll take OPS+ before I take WAR. I'll use UZR for defense..

Fangraphs WAR uses UZR for defense (post 2002).

It's somewhat useful if you only have access to one stat.   Which you never do. 

I'd say "A high WAR might make you look deeper into the other stats to see what you're missing" except no one with a high WAR has a "sneaky" old school stat that doesn't jump right out at you.

I also voted "take/leave it" because I think anyone ignoring a stat, even the archaic RBI or Win, is being foolhardy.   Or stupid.   Whichever.
So you don't think there are useless stats?
Why would anyone bother to keep a "useless" stat?

I don't think anyone would waste time keeping useless stats.

Is English your 2nd, or maybe 3rd, language?   I ask because you don't seem to have a very good grasp of it.

I was asking for clarification. In the past you've argued that WAR or the stats used to measure defense for WAR are useless. Now I see that you don't think the defensive stats used to calculate WAR are useless.

People on the internet are prone to hyperbole.    I'm sure, with your limited understanding of the English language, that you don't know what it means.   The definition:

1. obvious and intentional exaggeration. 2. an extravagant statement or figure of speech not intended to be taken literally

dWAR, UZR and the like have value.  Very, very limited value as I think it's a work in progress.   I don't put much stock in it, probably about the same amount that you put into pitcher wins, but it's not useless.   I wouldn't quote it to prove a point.
