We just rolled over in World Alexander to season 25 and we're looking for owners to fill a few openings for the coming season.

A little background on World Alexander: we're a private world with a solid veteran core and a majority-rules mentality. We have an anti-tanking rule that puts owners who lose 110 or more games in a season up to a vote by other returning owners, who then decide whether they believe that owner tanked. Owners who lose less than 110 games can also be voted on upon nomination by another owner (ex. if you lose the last 20 games after winning your 52nd game, you will probably be nominated). Other than that, there are no set-in-stone rules involving trades or anything...but we've got vigilant owners who make sure the world's best interests are protected.

If interested in a spot, please sitemail me! We accept new owners if you're willing to ask questions and put in the time to learn the game.

Open teams:

Louisville Redbirds (NL South - 73-89) - For five straight seasons the Redbirds have lost between 87 and 90 games and finished in last place in the NL South.  This has given them young talent like Hades HarperSantiago Uribe, and Rico Ugueto. There are some attractive ML pieces that a rebuilding owner could move, as well.

Syracuse Master Batters (AL North - 70-92) - The Master Batters could not quite recapture the magic of season 23 (in which they made their first playoff appearance in 4 years) and stumbled to a third place finish in the AL North this year. Primarily at fault was their pitching staff, which saw multiple players put up stats far worse than their career averages. With a strong offseason and the impending arrival of Jacob Person, there's no reason to think the Master Batters can't compete for a playoff spot next season.

Pittsburgh Qperation Shutdown (AL North - 70-92) - Since capturing their eighth division title in nine years in season 20, the Qperation Shutdown have floundered in mediocrity, finishing above .500 only once in four seasons. There is sufficient major league talent (such as Daisuke Kimura) that a playoff run this season is not entirely out of the question. Plus, they've got Jarrod White in the pipeline.

Austin Three Sixteen (AL South - 72-90) - Only two seasons ago the Three Sixteen were wrapping up their third straight 100-win campaign, yet today they find themselves in third place in the AL South and well below .500. The offense is led by young superstar Jimmy Glaus, while Gerald James and Robert Walton anchor the pitching staff. A few solid offseason additions (aided by the cap room coming off the books if Chris Anderson's option is declined) could allow them to make a few more runs before a full rebuild is necessary.

Durham Rugby-Chevelles (AL South - 59-103) - It's been a rough past few years for Durham since their last playoff appearance in season 20. However, this franchise does have some minor league talent and a high draft pick. Might be time to trade what ML pieces there are and build for the future in Durham.

Salt Lake City RiverCats (AL West - 72-90) - The RiverCats have been below .500 for 3 straight seasons now, but that has led to a number of high draft choices in the minors. A 90-loss campaign last season will give them another good draft pick. Meanwhile, future Hall of Famer Dennis Spivey may want to be traded to a contender.
