After sim-decades of avoiding academic ineligibility, I'd like my program to be rewarded with cultivating the players' brains as well as all of their basketball skills.
Just as some good players show preference to attend local / distant schools, or have some unspecified tie to certain programs, there have to be some schools -- particularly those in DIII -- who might be looking at what the academic program has to offer to go with the hoops program. It seems like a solid or exemplary reputation for graduating players in good academic standing could be a factor to help recruiting.
It would also be nice to see an Academic All-American list that weights GPA in the equation, to help get some players recognition at the end of the season and contribute to that academic reputation.
AFAIK, grades currently affect training and in-season eligibility. Do grades have any other impact on hoops dynasty?
