I'm up 8-3 in the 9th against a 5-18 team, the owner leaves the game, his team comes back to win 9-8, with his RP that didn't get PH for, getting the winning hit in the 9th

This crap happens a lot. When someone leaves late in a game, it seems that they all of sudden go on an unreal offensive tear. The best defense is probably to exit as well. Wait a second then re-enter.
