I stopped playing video games like 15 years ago, er around the the millenium, anyways my friend had the 'Dreamcast' and we used to battle on the 2K games then play the actual arcade pop-a-shot ..you know you shoot as many baskets in 60 seconds  he had that game in his basement  my J was sweet

This thread got me thinking of another all time favorite: Arch Rivals! The arcade version, not the console game.  Loved playing 2 on 2 and being able to punch/knock down the other team and dunk on them.  Wow that brings back some memories...

I liked the NBA Live games in the Mid-90s even if it was crazy flawed.

I recall Ed Pinckney was unstoppable on fade-away 3 pointers.
Yea, I loved NBA Live 97 on the original PlayStation.  My first year of law school all I did was study, drink, and play that game.  Put together an 81-1 season with the Pacers.

I played that NCAA Basketball game for SNES last night, and it's actually not that bad...it errs on the easy side, but basically every basketball game I've played has done so, and that's part of/the main reason I started this thread.

NBA Jam was tough to beat.  Loved Arch Rivals too.

Double Dribble....I mean, you got to choose between four, count them FOUR teams.

Arch Rivals was the precursor to NBA Jam and I believe the inspiration for it.  Loved Arch Rivals! Pixelated busty cheerleaders, Drew Carey look-alike Referee, the dog that would bite your A**, the ability to pull down your opponents shorts, the fighting, the Mohawk baller...  Ah the days of going to the arcade....
