http://www.whatifsports.com/gdbeta/Stats/PlayerLeaders.aspx?d=4

The leader in passing yards after three games has 879 yards, less than 300 per game, one TD and eight picks. Only eight QBs have over 600 yards. Between them, the top 25 QBs by yardage have 45 TDs and - wait for it - 103 interceptions. There is one QB who is 18 for 19 with 6 TDs and no picks. For the most part, the TD/INT ratios make Woody Hayes' and Darrell Royal's attitudes about passing look correct.

The top 25 RBs by yardage are averaging over five yards per carry and at least 170 yards per game.

The top 25 WRs by yardage have from 253 to 312 yards total over the first three games.

On the defensive side, after three games, there are already three guys with 10 sacks, four more with 9 and the remainder of the top 25 have 7 or 8.

http://www.whatifsports.com/gdbeta/Stats/PlayerLeaders.aspx?d=4&tg=1

There are seven guys with 5 picks and 16 more with 4.

This is not a rant or personal criticism of anyone, but I think we are seeing a trend. I think the point of beta testing is to get this kind of information out there and let the programmers address the problems.

Didn't mean to post the QB stats three times. Well, I'm going to get F-L-A-M-E-D now...
3/6/2013 3:26 PM
What an idiot....posting the QB stats 3 times...3 times....3 times....LOL

Just kidding....glad you posted this stuff, it is certainly interesting and you are right on the mark...this is the kind of data that the programmers will need to be looking at.  I would also like to point out that my wishbone all run team is absolutely DISMAL at running the ball (I'm not in Romero).  It would appear that other formations are able to run the ball better than the wishbone.  Another thing that will need to be looked at.

Overall....lots of stuff for the programmers to look at and revise.  I saw Norbert's response to some of these items and it appears he is quite a busy fellow.
3/6/2013 9:06 PM

OH YEAH? WELL - it takes one to know one! So there!

Interesting that WB does not work in your world. Have you tried all run with other formations? I am running from Pro and Trips in Romero. I am going to try NDB if/when I get around to it.

3/7/2013 2:44 PM
2chair...Have you posted this in the Beta forum? It's good info and I would really like for Norbert to see it, though some/most of these issues are already being worked on, I don't believe all are.
harris...I too tried to run the bone in Beta with no success. I'm tearing it up running with my QB and a WR out of the shotgun against defenses playing dime/pass all game long. We all wanted more cause & effect and this may be an example of it. Set up in the shotgun, get the defense playing 5 or 6 DB's and playing the pass, then run the ball. I'm not at all sure that's a bad thing but I do think it may need to be toned down just a little. The big problem I see in all of this is the fact that formations like the wishbone cause teams to play 5-2 and 4-4 / Heavy Run all game and we have NO success running. Yeah, it's the cause & effect we were looking for, just maybe a little too much. Have you tried going deep a few times per game to try and loosen the defense up? Just a thought...

3/10/2013 3:27 AM
Actually, I went to and all pass WB for some games and its better....not great, but better....Too good for WB all pass....It seems like everything just needs a "tweak".
