I have two QBs who are pretty close in overall rating for QB.  One is a senior and one is a FR.  In the long-term, is it better to go with the SR or the FR?  Does it make a difference?

Your senior QB is much better than the freshman. Regardless, I would say always play to win now. Otherwise when this freshman is a senior, you may do the same thing again and bench him in favor of the freshman. Or you may do it at other positions. I'd suggest focusing on high WE, high potential players that you don't have to play early to "fix".

I'd start the R/S freshman William Whalen personally, however the 11 point discrepancy in Technique will mean he will certainly throw a lot more picks than the senior.  What is their relative potential?  If Whalen was a STL or a 3 I'd be even more tempted.

Yes, I meant the R/S FR and he does have high potential.

Scratch what I said.   You need to build for the future.

I'd start the RS Fr.

His work ethic will go through the roof and he will get improving nicely...

Thanks. That's kind of what I was thinking but wondered if that makes a difference.

agreed...the RS freshman

I try to get my underclassman QB (one that is likely to start down the road) starts early in his career versus SIMs (I have never lost to a SIM --- blow them out). Gets him gametime and he will have his ratings increase faster.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to roll with it and see what happens.
