Which Wooden D3 conference? Topic

That's a fair point mrp.  I hope we can keep the group together for longer than that, because it's been a lot of fun for me so far (despite going 7-20 in year 1).

"Recruiting in Wooden can wear on you at times"
pep, I completely agree with that.  Not to make excuses, but that's definitely part of why I had a few bad classes in a row and crashed with that 10-18 season 62.  You have to work harder to maintain success in D3 Wooden than in any other environment I've been in.  Naismith recruiting has been a cakewalk by comparison, even with C- prestige.

No shame in making those excuses...I'll do the same! ;) I lost a few key battles and Macalester has been reeling for the past 4 seasons as a result. I definitely took that A+ prestige for granted...

the NAC allen coaches (or the best coaches from other conferences in d3) should grab an open conference and join naismith.   let's do this!!!
I fully support this.

Who are the NAC Allen coaches?

Known Roadblocks:

carlbuzz is in the Naismith University already
theeyetest has a top Naismith D3 team already
hughesjr already has a D2 Naismith team.

And dac just dropped his Naismith team. But, we could probably convince him to come back...right dac? ;)

I really think this would be an awesome idea though. If we could convince even 6 of them to join, the rest could be pulled from other top D3 worlds perhaps. It'd just take someone with connections to these guys and the gift of persuasiveness to get them over to Naismith.

Any volunteers? Norm?

i've tried to get several of them to join the MIAA in wooden, but they always turn me down. that conference owns d3 in allen.  i figured there would be some overlap in coaches.  allen has more top coaches in other conferences they could pull in.  that's kind of what we did. an "all-star" team of sorts from wooden.

Hmmm...maybe their answer would be different if it was their pride that's at stake. We believe University has the best group of coaches in any D3 world. Can they prove us wrong?

capital in naismith is pretty tough already with andrewfrance, eyetest, rusticity, roguedog, aejones, dedelman, and at least one other guy with an NT, plus me. we've usually had 1-3 weaker guys at the bottom (compared to Upstate Wooden), but I think that might make the top 9-10 tougher. I can never decide which is tougher. But I think Wooden d3 is tougher overall than Naismith.

hey where's the respect?  The "other guy" with a championship is me...the starter of this very forum

Then if we are really comparing coaches, that's 7 or 8 guys with an NT in Capital, while Norm's evil creation has 11 guys with NTs, 10 of them have multiple NTs. It's scary sitting in there. Doesn't really matter to compare them right now anyway... I'm just enjoying the ride so far!

I was perfectly happy to simplify my HD life by getting down to just 5 teams, but you all are really making me want to rejoin both the Capital and MIAC... I just never really had time to do as well as I know I could with that many teams... of course the MIAC is full, so that helps ease the temptation...Chestnut Hill is sim though this season so I could go back...I dunno...

Exactly.  I've seen a fair number of conferences with a really tough group of coaches at the top, or even 8-9 of them.  But I've never seen a 1 through 12 like what the UAA has right now.

Do it dac! :)

Though instead of rejoining Capital, I think you should rally the Allen NAC troops and start a new superconference in Naismith.

Definitely agree as well. It's a scary conference. Now I just need to win a freakin championship (or two) so I can get out of that #12 spot!
