RIP UNCLE VERNON Topic

Seems to be the other way around.

I said HP was well written. Not exactly setting the bar too high.

I was told that a handful of Authurs write well.

Who is being picky??

Have you ever read a book written for adults?

So harry potter is stupid just because swamp likes it? I thought the movies were great and I'm 38

No one is allowed to have an opinion that is not in lock step with swamp....
And if swamp said he hates harry potter you would be the first to give it a pulitzer and an oscar

Hey swamp you moronic heap of camel droppings. What I said was when I (ME) wants to read something well written and gave a list of authors that write well and towards adults. If you want to read stuff gear towards 12 year olds, go for it.

PS. You have the comprehension skills of a retarded mayfly.

No you didnt just give a list of authors you like.

You made the implication that HP books are inferior products.

I stand by the idea that they are well written.

It isnt epic, just well written. Good movies also.

Going to Harry Potter World in Orlando this June. Can't wait to get my wand at Ollivanders.

And no matter how nasty it is, I'm having a butterbeer.

the HP books are well written and entertaining.  Much as it hurts, I must agree with swamp

Agreed on the entertaining part, and skilled enough to write a good story.

Sorry but for well written, I will take Asimov, Clarke, Adams and Bradbury. Many of the thing these people wrote about are actually coming to fruition.
Hey **** stick read the first part of the sentence It say I WILL TAKE

Once again you are WRONG.

So you are saying that this post was meant as a simple comment and not as a knock against the HP novels?

Context implies otherwise.
3/31/2013 3:28 PM
swamp......in the past you offered the opinion that books were no longer relevant in our culture and that you did not make it a practice to read them. Now you  are trying to sound like an authority on something being well written. I find that funny as hell.
3/31/2013 4:06 PM
And I stand by my comments about books.

I dont find them irrelevant, just inferior to the other forms of information.

When I read the HP books, after the movies started coming out, I found that I liked their style.

Cannot explain it any other way.
3/31/2013 5:39 PM
Probably because they are aimed at 12 year olds.
